Shah Cheragh
By Mr.Ashayeri (JSI2402)
Shahcheragh Shrine is a tomb complex in the center of Shiraz, where, according to Shia beliefs, Ahmed bin Musa, the eldest son of Musa Kazem, and Muhammad bin Musa, one of the brothers of Ali bin Musa al-Reza, were buried in it. This shrine is the third most important shrine for Shiites in Iran, after the shrines of Ali bin Musa al-Reza and Fatima Masoumeh. He traveled to Khorasan on the way to join his brother, but was killed on the way by Ma’mun Khalifa Abbasi’s men in Shiraz.
The streets that have access to the shrine are Lotfali Khan Zand, Serah Ahmadi and 9 Di streets. The tomb of Seyyed Mir Mohammad, the brother of Ahmed Ibn Musa, is also located in Shahcheragh Mosque, which is built in the style of Azari architecture.
